4 reasons why Varun Dhawan is the next Bollywood superstar

2012 saw as many as a dozen debuts, some evaporated, some survived, and some soared. One of the debutants that soared and soared BIG TIME was the man who made his debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year. No, it’s not Sidharth Malhotra, but his rival in the same film, yes; you guessed it right, Varun Dhawan. Even though critics didn’t exactly lap-up to the film, Varun had successfully made a lasting impression with his fluidity and effortlessness in the comedic and dancing sequences, accompanied by an endearing screen presence.

Gracefully handling brickbats and criticisms ever since, for being a wannabe Salman Khan and Govinda, Varun Dhawan has indeed come a long way, also dodging those endless questions on Nepotism in between his journey. Fresh off the critical acclaim and moderate commercial success of October, the actor is indeed in a happy, content and positive space, and all set to star in four massive projects, Sui DhaagaKalank, Remo D’ Souza’s dance film and Ranbhoomi.

As he celebrates his 31st birthday today, we list down 4 reasons why this Dhawan lad is the next Superstar of Bollywood:-

1. An enviable track record

Varun Dhawan

Varun Dhawan has acted in 10 films so far and all 10 come under the category of HITS, well, some under the category of BLOCKBUSTERS, like Badrinath Ki Dulahnia and Judwaa 2. This is something not many actors are able to pull off, including some big, A-List stars.

2. An actor beneath the star

Varun Dhawan

You need to engage as an actor to become a star who call pull-in the crowd. Varun Dhawan did exactly that, with films like Badlapur and October, both, although didn’t exactly set the cash registers ringing, gave him the kind of validation every actor desires. Both Raghu and Dan may not be likable characters, but memorable human beings for sure.

3. The kids’ connection

Varun Dhawan

It’s believed children are your harshest critics and your most difficult audience, and if you manage to put a smile on their faces, you can survive any audience. With films like Main Tera Hero, ABCD 2 and Dishoom, Varun has created a humongous fan base among children, and he credits half of his success in the industry to them. We have seen a lot of ladies’ man; it’s time for children’s man now!

4. The big bucks

Varun Dhawan

For someone who’s known to have a 100% track record, why would the producers shy away from paying him fat pay-cheques, especially when they know the actor can easily get the cinemas sold out? As we reported earlier, Varun Dhawan might be getting paid as much as 32 crores for his dance film with Katrina Kaif. However, the makers stated the fee is only between 15-20 crore, and that’s also a hell lot of money. We all have to wait for the fate of his upcoming films, and if they also hit the 100 crore-mark, Varun Dhawan could very soon join the league of the Khans in terms of remuneration.

Till then, all the best at the movies and a Happy Birthday to Varun Dhawan.
