10 years of Om Shanti Om: When Shah Rukh Khan came late on the first day of shoot

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om completes 10 years today. The film was a huge hit and marked the debut of the beautiful Deepika Padukone. The dialogues and the songs became a sone pe suhaaga which became a huge success and is still remembered even today.

Well as the film completes a decade today we have got an interesting detail of what happened on the first day of the film’s shoot. Shreyas Talpade who played Shah Rukh Khan’s best friend in the film revealed how SRK was late on the first day of the shoot itself.

He said “The first scene we had to shoot for was the scene where I tell Om ‘Tu hero banega’. We had been given a call time of 8.30 in the morning, and Shah Rukh got late. He came and apologized to everyone, even though we were technically nobody, for being 45 minutes late. Farah, too, said, ‘Kya Shah Rukh, teri khud ki production hai (you are the producer of the film) and you yourself are late?!” He politely said to us, ‘I am sorry, but you all please come by 10 am tomorrow because I can’t come by 9 am.’ We all just cracked up!”

Om Shanti Om became a huge hit at the box office and was loved by everyone.

Well after 10 years we surely want to hit see the hit trio of Shah, Deepika, and Farah on the big screen.
