Will Varun Dhawan REPLACE Shahid Kapoor in this film!?

One will clearly say that Shahid Kapoor is on cloud 9, ever since we have collectively witnessed his latest release, Padmaavat, being met with a thunderous response, which, if numbers are to go by, is 300 CRORE STRONG! (Get it? Get it?)

However, whenever a film meets a thunderous response, it is a common practice for their actors to charge a thunderously high price, which would have been justified if the actors in question were doing the heavy lifting in the film. But, does that really apply to Shahid here?

Well, as per our Khabri Keeda, Shahid thinks that the rule does apply to him, and that might just cost him the Imtiaz Ali film, which, as we had reported earlier, has been shelved for a few years at least. What’s better, Kapoor might just end up losing  the film to a fairly newcomer, Varun Dhawan, who is a superstar already!

Yes, you read that right! As per KK, Shahid has the main lead in a film is not really looking like a feasible idea from the point of view of the producers, especially after hearing Shahid’s new inflated quote that he has been charging since the release of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial.

However, it’s not like Imtiaz did not try to reason it out with Kapoor, but guess the latter was in no mood at all to lower his price. So, Ali was intending on approaching Abhishek Bachchan, but then again, the idea of even having him as a lead did not look good from a box office point of view (We sincerely hope that Manmarziyaan changes that)

But, we think that the film might just land in the lap of Varun Dhawan, who has established himself as a hit maker, which might explain as to why is Ali reportedly trying to woo him in.

So, will Varun sign the dotted line as the leading man for the Imtiaz Ali direcotial? Be sure that you will hear it here FIRST!
