SRK cancels Makar Sankranti promotions for Raees at Mannat!

With less than two weeks left for the release of this superstar’s much-awaited film, Raees, Shah Rukh Khan is going leaps and bounds to meet with his fans. From press conferences to events, the Badshah of Bollywood is doing it all to ensure his upcoming film receives a positive response from his fans.

Recently, Shah Rukh Khan along with BJP leaders Poonam Mahajan and Ashish Shelar attended the inauguration of sculpture #BANDRA by artist and muralist Rouble Nagi. Our Khabri Keeda tells us that this event didn’t have a very happy ending. KK witnessed the crowd going a little wild and the security failing to control the crowd, so much so that this event almost turned into a stampede.

KK also informed us that SRK was to host a kite-flying event for Makar Sankranti at his home, Mannat. The star had called media persons and was ready to make this another successful event for Raees, especially after the release of Makar Sankranti based song, ‘Udi Udi Jaye’. Since the #BANDRA event turned out to be quite a disaster with no crowd control, SRK decided to cancel the kite flying event at his home as he didn’t want any mishaps occurring days before his big release.

Moreover, Makar Sankranti falls on a Saturday and is also a bank holiday. Hence, chances of a humongous turnout are definitely expected. After his bad experience, all we can say is that SRK made a very wise move with canceling this event!
