‘Raees’ release jinxed, delayed AGAIN!

SRK’s fans who are eagerly waiting for his next big flick ‘Raees’, here is a not-so-good piece of news for you. ‘Raees’ has been delayed, AGAIN and will not release on 26th January 2017.

‘Raees,’ produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under the Excel Entertainment banner was originally scheduled to release on Eid 2016. However, since Salman Khan mostly releases his films on Eid, this made a box office clash between ‘Raees’ and ‘Sultan’ inevitable. Hence, SRK decided to postpone the film’s release. Meanwhile, there were certain scenes in the film, which apparently failed to satisfy SRK and hence had to be re-shot. After sorting out all these, the next date was set on Republic Day, January 26, 2017.  But a box office clash does not leave SRK’s side, no matter how hard he tries to avert it. And this time, ‘Raees’ was taking on Rakesh Roshan’s home production, ‘Kaabil’ starring Hrithik Roshan. Now, our Khabri Keeda tells us that the film helmed by Rahul Dholakia will not be a Republic Day release!

We kind of knew this would happen as from the moment he came to know that his film is clashing with ‘Kaabil,’ SRK had been trying very hard to convince Rakesh Roshan to postpone ‘Kaabil’s release and even had several meetings with Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan. The Roshan’s refused to delay ‘Kaabil’ and finally it was unanimously decided that both the film’s will release on the same date. It looks like SRK was not very happy with this option as he knows best what happens when two big flicks have a showdown at the box office. After all, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ and ‘Dilwale’s box office clash last year has not yet faded away from our memories!

And so, as per our Khabri Keeda, SRK has decided to reschedule the release of ‘Raees’ again, even though they have not yet divulged the the next date. A trailer of the film was also supposed to release on SRK’s birthday yesterday, but was stopped, since the film is not releasing in January and the trailer said, “Releasing on Republic Day”. Since we all know that SRK is a person, who loves to release his films on festivals and special days, we are speculating that ‘Raees’ might be released on Valentine’s Day! What do you think?
