There is a very old but true saying that says ‘Too many cooks spoil the broth!” and this saying has turned out to be painfully true in the case of the show that was supposed to mark Saif Ali Khan’s debut into the digital space, Sacred Games.
To give you all a bit of context, Sacred Games is the first Indian-origin Netflix Show that is currently in production and along with Saif, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was also supposed to be a part of the star cast. The series in question is being helmed by two directors, which are Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, and according to our Khabri Keeda, that’s the root of the BIG problem!
As per KK, since both the directors come from different schools of storytelling, they bring two different points of views towards the story on the table, and that is something that is not at all working for the show. KK also makes a special mention that the two filmmakers have shot parallel stories, which is collectively not at all being appreciated by the guys at Netflix. Reportedly, the officials at Netflix think that whatever has been shot till date lacks structure and creates unnecessary confusion.
So, in response to this, they are going to go about this blunder in only two possible ways. Either the two directors will have to adapt to each others’ style of direction and re-shoot certain sections as per their guidelines, or, bring a third director in and shoot the WHOLE series from the top.
Either way, this is causing poor Saif to have his digital debut indirectly delayed almost indefinitely.
So, when do you think the Netflix Original will release now? Let us know!
