Nikkhil Advani’s next sticks it to Dalal Street!
Nikkhil Advani, the 45-year old producer who is known for rolling out masterpieces such as Airlift and Kal Ho Naa Ho amongst others, has been keeping something under the wraps all this time. Until our Khabri Keeda got to the scene.
Turns out, that Nikkhil is casting Saif Ali Khan and Rohan Mehra, son of the late actor Vinod Mehra for a story which talks about the power struggle witnessed by finance professionals in the less understood world of the stock market. The project is titled Baazaar.
The makers went through a series of multiple trials and errors as they attempted to find the right pair. Hrithik Roshan and Imran Khan were roped in initially, only to be dropped later, since the Nikkhil Advani and Imran Khan Combination hasn’t ever worked for anyone. Don’t believe us? Then came in the Hrithik-Shahid combination, which wasn’t really proving to be satisfactory either. After a series of such permutation-combinations, they zeroed down on Saif Ali Khan and Rohan Mehra.
Seems like the actors have been chosen pretty carefully. Will Nikkhil deliver on Bollywood’s version of The Wolf Of Wall Street?
