Legendary actor Sridevi passes away

Death is truly an uninvited guest, but if you’ve lived your life entertaining millions of people all over the world, you shall live forever. As I write this, it saddens me that the legendary actor, Sridevi, has passed away and left us all shocked and numbed. After a major cardiac arrest in Dubai, where she went to attend a family wedding with husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Jhanvi Kapoor, she breathed her last.

Becoming an actor at the age of 15, she continued to act till 52. Splashing into the world of stardom with the 1983 Himmatwala, she saw success and fame like no one else. She was so powerful in her performances that on most of the occasions, she overpowered the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth as well. You aren’t a cinema fan if you haven’t seen her cinema. Period.

As she departs, we are left speechless and all we can say is- Thank you for all the memories and films. You shall live forever
