Karan Johar and Mahesh Bhatt join forces for Aashiqui 3!

Mahesh Bhatt and Dharma Productions go a long way, as it is well known that Mahesh Bhatt has directed two iconic movies, namely Gumrah (1993) and Duplicate (1998) which were produced under the Dharma Productions banner.

This relationship has obviously become stronger as the current head honcho of Dharma Productions, Karan Johar was behind the grand launch of Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt with Student Of The Year.

But, now the news that our Khabri Keeda has for you is surely going to pique your interest.

Rumors are rife that rumored lovebirds Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt had been gearing up for their collective next, Aashiqui 3. But, unlike the old pairing of Mahesh Bhatt’s production house Vishesh Films and T-Series, Bhatt saab is teaming up with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions to make the third installment of the Aashiqui franchise a bigger, grander affair.

As far as the director is concerned,  KK says that probably Mohit Suri won’t be the one who will be helming this project. He adds that Shashank Khaitan from team Dharma, the one who was behind two of Alia’s greatest hits (Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya and Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya) will be most certainly taking charge on the sets of Aashiqui 3.

Now, that’s a casting and production duo that has gotten us really excited!
