We got the latest scoop on Akshay’s role in the R. Balki project!

We had reported earlier that Akshay Kumar is going to begin shoot for his upcoming with R. Balki and has given more importance to this project than ‘Crack’ which he had to start with Neeraj Pandey.

The movie with R. Balki is a biopic and Akki will be playing the role of Arunachalam Muruganantham. Arunachalam is the man who is responsible for empowering women across rural India. Our Khabri Keeda (KK) says, “For those who don’t know, Arunachalam was the man who invented cheaper sanitary pads for women in his village after he realised that his wife and other women from his village faced financial burdens due to expensive sanitary pads. In his own way, he helped empower women in his village and slowly the invention was a nationwide success.”

KK also adds that Akki’s wife will be co-producing the movie along with Balki. He says, “It is the kind of story that appealed to Twinkle, the concept is hers but is being developed by Balki. Twinkle will not be writing for the movie but she is surely co-producing the movie. Amitabh Bachchan is co-starring in the movie and we are expecting this to create waves in the industry.”

Now we know the real reason why Akshay chose this over Crack. It doesn’t matter who you are, when your wife wants you to do something you better get it done!
