Akshay Kumar to do a Chak De India!
Akshay Kumar, the Khiladi of Bollywood is actually getting involved in a khel for his next! Yes, you read that right. The Jolly LLB 2 star is prepping to shoot for his next film which will be based on the Indian hockey team coach who made team India win its first gold medal post-Independence.
Our Khabri Keeda tells us that Akki will be playing the lead in this sports biopic titled ‘Gold’. Balbir Singh was part of the Indian hockey team in the year 1948, with whom India won its first gold medal after Independence. KK tells us that Akshay Kumar will be playing the coach of the legendary hockey player and the film will pan the struggles and achievements India’s first post-independence hockey team faced and celebrated! The Khiladi will be seen as an on-screen coach to the 1948 Indian hockey team comprising of Raman Raghav 2.0 actor, Sunny Kaushal and Amit Sadh.
