Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ to get a sequel!

The Akshay Kumar-Vidya Balan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa was undoubtedly one of the most loved movies back when it was released in the year 2007. Now, if the latest news is anything to go by, the movie might get a sequel with a fresh cast.

Reportedly, the T-series honcho Bhushan Kumar has been trying to get the title ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ registered for his next production venture. Talking about it, a source was quoted saying, “Bhushan wanted to make a part 2 of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ for a while now and has cracked an idea with Farhad Samji, who will be writing and directing the film. It is in the development stage and will feature a fresh cast. Once the final script is locked, the team will kick off casting and other pre-production formalities.”

Well, we hope the sequel will have the old cast in a cameo appearance!

The film was the Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Manichitrathazhu, and was directed by Priyadarshan. The movie also starred actor Shiney Ahuja and Ameesha Patel in lead roles.
