Amitabh Bachchan to also star with Akshay Kumar in Laaxmi Bomb?

Ever since the news about the Kanchana remake had been announced, it has become one of the most awaited movies of the year. The film, which stars Akshay Kumar in the lead role, will be directed by Raghava Lawrence himself. It’s titled Laaxmi Bomb.

Now, if the latest news is anything to go by, the legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan has been roped into play a pivotal role. Reportedly, Bachchan would be seen playing a yet another challenging role of a transgender in the remake which was played by Sarathkumar in the original Tamil version. An official announcement is yet to be made.

On the other hand, Kiara Advani has been roped in to play the leading lady in the film. Talking about it, a source was quoted saying, “Kiara has almost been confirmed for the role, and now only the final formalities are being worked out. Akshay is currently busy with Good News (starring Kareena Kapoor Khan), post which he will get on this project. The remake has been on Akshay’s mind for a long time now and he’s happy that finally things are falling into place.”
