BHARAT TRAILER: Salman Khan is back with a BANG!

Why we are saying Salman Khan is back with a BANG, you may ask! Well, the star’s last two outings- Tubelight and Race 3 didn’t meet with the desired and expected responses. But his fans are arguably the most forgiving ones, always flocking to the cinemas to watch his movies despite their trashiness. Bharat seems a step towards an improvement, an attempt to put up a performance that involves passion, pain and prosthetic. For the uninitiated, the film is a remake of the Korean drama, An Ode To My Father, where Khan is in search of his father (Jackie Shroff) who has disappeared during the Indo-Pak partition of 1947. The character’s journey begins from the age of 25 and ends at around 70, and the actor has dabbled with multiple looks and transformations. Ali Abbas Zafar, who has directed the actor twice before, seems to understand the stardom of the actor and how to blend it correctly with an engaging narrative and mammoth scale.

Katrina Kaif, on the other hand, who plays the film’s leading lady, has also described this as her most unique role yet. But this period drama also belongs to its impressive ensemble that includes Tabu (in a cameo), Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Shashank Arora, Aasif Sheikh and as stated above, Jackie Shroff. All set to open in the cinemas this EID (June 5), Bharat is likely to be a yet-another blockbuster for Khan that redefines box-office success. Is another 300-crore film for Bhai on its way?
