Zoya Akhtar confirms the sequel to Ranveer Singh & Alia Bhatt’s Gully Boy!

The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy was undoubtedly one of the best movies of this year. Directed by Zoya Akthar and co-written by Reema Kagti, the movie revolved around Murad who grew up in the slums of Dharavi and had the dream of becoming a rapper and the obstacles that came his way to achieve his dream.

Now the audiences might want more of Murad and Safeena and much to their wishes, the makers might return with a sequel of the movie. And well, the news is confirmed by none other than Zoya herself.

While talking to a leading daily, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara director said, “My co-writer Reema Kagti and I do feel there’s so much more to be said on the entire hip-hop culture in our country. And another film exploring the theme is being scripted and planned.”

Well, aren’t you excited to see Ranveer-Alia sizzle the silver screen as Murad and Safeena again!
