Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan to star in India’s first space film!

Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan are all set to unite on the big screen for the third time. Yes! You read it right. After ‘Heyy Babyy’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’, Akshay and Vidya are all set to sizzle on the silver screen in R. Balki’s untitled Indian space drama, which is going to be the first one to come out of our cinema. Interestingly, R.Balki had previously worked with Akshay in ‘Pad Man’ and with Vidya in ‘Paa’.

Now, as per the latest reports, Akshay will also be co-producing the movie apart from acting under the banner of Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie will be reportedly directed by Jagan Shakti and might also see the Airlift actress Nimrat Kaur along with Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan.

Confirming the news, a close source was quoted saying to a leading daily, “Yes, Viacom and Balki have come together for a film which will be the first ever Indian movie on astronauts. In fact, the film will be about sending a crew of chosen people to Mars.” 

Well, wouldn’t it be interesting to watch both Vidya and Akshay in the first ever Indian space drama?
