TAKE NOTE: Varun Dhawan doesn’t want you to call him the new Salman Khan!
Varun Dhawan is yet to see failure at the movies; he has a perfectly chiselled body, magnetic screen presence and the kind of fan-following that could surely envy his contemporaries. In fact, some of his fans call him the new-age Govinda and Salman Khan, and after the massive success of Judwaa 2, people are actually calling him the modern avatar of our beloved Bhai.
And if you thought it’s only because of his on-screen persona that these comparisons crop up, let’s tell you the other reason behind the same. When Varun was shooting for Shoojit Sircar’s October in a hotel, he found out on the last day of the shoot that a 19-year old wanted to be a Sous Chef, and immediately recommended his name to the kitchen staff. His wish was the staff’s command and the boy’s desires came true at that very moment. After this incident, when asked about being compared to Salman Khan, the actor said, “I can never be compared to Salman Khan. He is a large-hearted man who is known for giving so much of his wealth to everyone around him. He always stands for the needy and the poor.”
Varun is currently gearing up for the release of his most special film yet, October, which opens at the cinemas tomorrow, 13th of April, 2018. And if all goes well, he may share screen space with Salman in Remo D’ Souza’s dance film, also starring Katrina Kaif. Rumors suggest Salman has an extended cameo in the film which is releasing on the 8th of November, 2019.
