CONFIRMED! Sonu Sood is the villain in Simmba
Villainy and Sonu Sood seem to be made for each other. After his lecherous and evil turn in films like Dabangg, Shootout At Wadala and R…Rajkumar, it’s time for him to don the hat of the bad guy again. However, this time, his character may be bigger and more badass than his previous ones. The film we are talking about here is Rohit Shetty’s Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.
Earlier, R.Madhavan was supposed to portray Sonu Sood’s character but unfortunately had to back out because of his injury. The actor even tweeted disappointingly about not being able to be a part of this mega-project.
Hey folks .. So I am a huge crazy fan of Rohit Shetty and his films. As is my son. It breaks both our hearts that I’m not able to be a part of this film because of my injury. I’m well on my way to recovery but this is a huge opportunity and excitement lost.🙈🙈 https://t.co/9YJBctaCJI

Coming to Sonu Sood, given his man-mountain physique, he could surely give Ranveer Singh a run for his money in the action scenes, if there would be any. The film is slated for a 28th December 2018 release and we cannot contain our excitement to see what Rohit Shetty has in store for us, especially after knowing Ajay Devgn also has a cameo in the film as none other than Bajirao Singham, possibly one of his most memorable characters.
On the work front, Ranveer Singh is busy with Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy and also will soon start prepping for Kabir Khan’s 83’, a biopic on Kapil Dev. As for Sara Ali Khan, Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath was supposed to be her debut film but now it seems Simmba may end up releasing first. Let’s see what lies in store for the actress.
