Was there MORE to Padmaavat that what is released?
Master craftsman Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s most ambitious project till date, Padmaavat, has FINALLY seen the light of day with what our very own censor board claiming that there is nothing but a mere 5 “modifications” to the Bhansali directorial.
But, while we ourselves saw the film in a screening, we could not help but notice that, although the film is indeed a masterpiece like none other, it did indeed feel incomplete, and we will not blame you if you feel the same way once you see it yourself.
While we were consoling ourselves that perhaps what we saw was indeed a total summation of the directors’ vision, a statement by a South India-based MLA makes us ask a yet another question: Was there WAY MORE to Padmaavat than the version that is currently in theatres?
Turns out, Raja Singh, a Telangana-based legislative assembly member, who is a Rajput himself, addressed the media and said that the leaders of various Hindu organisations saw the film and observed that Bhansali has deleted all the objectionable scenes which show its main protagonist, Deepika Padukone’s Rani Padmavati, in poor light so that the release could finally happen with minimal troubles.
Although all the claims must not be taken on face value, doesn’t this make you think? What if there WAS more to the film? And, how objectionable were those scenes in general?
Guess we may or may not ever know.
