Padmaavat to release in Pakistan without a single cut?

The controversial film of the year Padmaavat has finally hit the screens today. Even though the supreme court and the CBFC have passed the film the Rajput Karni Sena is still opposing the film and protesting the film outside the theaters.

Well while the film is facing difficulties in India, the film might release with zero cuts in Pakistan.

According to an unverified account of the Chairman of Pakistan’s Central Board of Film Censors (CBFC), the historical-periodic film has been declared “suitable for public exhibition” in the cinemas without any “excision”.

Check out the tweet here:

In India, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) passed the film with five modification including some scenes from the song Ghoomar and changing the name of the film from Padmavati to Padmavat and than to Padmaavat.

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Padmavat which stars Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor is based on the legend of Rani Padmini, a Hindu Rajput queen, mentioned in Padmavat, an Avadhi poem written by Sufi poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi in 1540, has been facing protests from various groups, particularly Shri Rajput Karni Sena, for allegedly tampering with historical facts.
