Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu are COMPETING for THIS biopic!

Before Bollywood took to the trend of making biopics by the dozen, we saw a strong rise in films that showcases the valor and strength that women are actually capable of. And now, when you have actors like Sonakshi Sinha and Taapsee Pannu, you are very much bound to be confused at one point in time as to who will you cast in your female-centric sports biopic, right?

Turns out, as per our Khabri Keeda, that’s exactly the confusion behind the closed doors of Viacom18 Motion Pictures, who have acquired the rights to make a biopic about our very own Indian women’s cricket team captain, Mithali Raj.

Now, it’s very well known that she took our women’s cricket team to the WWC finals against England just a couple of months ago, which made her the first captain to take our team to the coveted finals twice, the first time being in 2005.

Now, to portray such a strong character in a film that is based on her, you need a strong leading lady to pull that off. Now, based on what we have seen in the last few films (with the exception of Judwaa 2), we already know that Taapsee Pannu is as rough and tough as one can get. But, the creative team at Viacom18 is in the favor of Sinha Jr.

Now, who will ultimately bag the role? Guess we will know soon.
