Tiger Zinda Hai: When Salman Khan STOPPED the remake of a film!
Guns, Guns and more Guns! That’s basically all that Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai trailer is promising us so far. As we had reported about yesterday, the storyline of the film has been inspired from a real life story where a total of 46 nurses were kept hostage by the ISIS in Iraq, similar to the Malayalam Parvathy-starrer Take Off.
Take Off had more of a documentary feel to it as it narrated the story through the eyes of the main protagonist (Parvathy). While on the other hand, Tiger Zinda Hai has more of a Salman Khan action movie feel.
But, did you know that the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial actually caused the plans for a Hindi remake of Take Off to get scrapped?
Yes, you read that right! Reportedly, the plans of Take Off’s Hindi remake were pretty much on the cards and Jet Airways was all set to produce the film, which would have marked their debut in the entertainment industry. But, when the makers learned that Tiger Zinda Hai has been made on the same lines, all that was nearly finalized were scrapped at the drop of a hat!
Well, who really wants to mess with Bhai, after all!
Tiger Zinda Hai will hit the silver screens on the 22nd of December. What are your thoughts on the same? Let us know!
