Golmaal Again: Rohit Shetty’s SECRET connection with Akshay Kumar!

Rohit Shetty’s baby and India’s biggest comic franchise, Golmaal is once again coming back with the fourth installment to the silver screens after a gap of 7 years. The film promises more fun and brainless humor from the hands of the blockbuster director.

Before becoming one of India’s biggest director (and blowing up cars like they are toys), Rohit was actually an AD and would often pose as stunt-doubles, like he once did for Akshay Kumar in the film Suhaag (1994), the film that shot to stardom thanks to one of its hit song Gore Gore Mukhde Pe Kaala Kaala Chashma.

During an interaction with a media representative, Akshay took out a page from Suhaag diaries and revealed that he would often greet the leads, Akki and Ajay by calling them “sir”.

Rohit, in a yet another media interaction, said, “During Suhaag, I was a duplicate for Akshay and had learned his “walk”. He also went on to perform that move. Later the duo went on to perform a sketch about costume dadas who are happy assisting female dancers but are annoyed with male ones.”
