The gangster side of Arjun Rampal is also a writer and producer!

Arjun Rampal, the one who delivered as the police officer in Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh, has an interesting story to tell. It’s the story which has been inspired by the life and times of the Mumbai-based gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, who is fondly called Daddy by his followers. The movie will also unsurprisingly be titled Daddy.

Rampal isn’t simply an actor in this movie. Along with being in front of the camera, he is also a co-producer with Rutvij Patel and a co-scriptwriter with director, Ashim Ahluwalia.

Rampal says that the movie is currently in the post-production phase and should release by the month of May-June.

Will Daddy manage to leave its mark as one of the best biopics of 2017, given that we have Aamir Khan playing an astronaut and Ranbir Kapoor playing Sanjay Dutt? We shall let time decide.
