Varun gets drunk, Kisses Alia Bhatt

Varun Dhawan decided to adopt the practice of method acting for an emotional scene in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’. Varun was supposed to act drunk and to look authentic for the scene, the young star decided to get intoxicated with a few pegs of whiskey.

A source told a leading daily, “Varun had a few drinks, that too neat, to prepare for the scene. The idea worked, as the scene went off well. Even the director, Shashank Khaitaan,praised his performance. Varun knew that he could not have managed such a natural performance without those drinks.”

But after shooting for the scene, Varun felt the effect of the alcohol and slept for an hour or two before returning back to wrap up the remaining shots for the day. When the daily contacted Varun, he revealed, “I had a few drinks as the scene required that kind of an effect. I was high for a while, but everything was okay.”
