Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’s makers slapped with ONE MORE legal notice
Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is nearing its release date and the movie is just getting into more and more trouble. Recently we informed you that documentary filmmaker, Praveen Vyas has sent a legal notice to Viacom 18 Motion Pictures saying that dialogues and some moments in the film have been lifted from his award-winning documentary film Manini. Now the makers have been slammed with a legal notice yet again.
Rajasthani filmmaker, Vipin Tiwari has slapped a legal notice on the makers stating that they have copied a punchline of his song Has Mat Pagli Pyar Ho Jayega. Vipin says that his Rajasthani film Laadli, which was released on April 7 this year, has a song with the same title. Vipin Tiwari has even forwarded the same complaint to Indian Film and TV Producers Council (IFTPC).
The song also had a similar picturization of the scene on Holi festival in Braj area which is similar to what is shown in Laadli.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednakar in lead roles. The film is slated to hit theatres on 11th August.
