Toilet: Ek Prem Katha to be tax-free in BJP run states!

Akshay Kumar‘s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is turning out to be a more than just a film that will be watched in theatres. The plot of the film is having an affect that is way beyond the virtual world. After the release of the trailer, the social message that the film shows is taking everyone by storm – including our very own PM, Mr Narendra Modi!

He tweeted saying

The film tackles the issue of proper sanitation for women, tracing the story of Keshav (Akshay Kumar) and the progressive Jaya (Bhumi Pednekar), set in two villages near Mathura. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is a satirical take on a battle against the age-old practice of open defecation.

A source close to the film stated  “The Government has decided to implement an entertainment tax exemption in all BJP-run states. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is not merely a film, but also a tool for social reform. And, this film deserves to be seen by all. Therefore, it deserves to be made tax free.”
