Toilet – Ek Prem Katha leak: Makers say situation is under control

Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet – Ek Prem Katha became the latest victim of piracy even before its release. Two days ago we broke the news that the film (almost) got leaked online as it landed in a pen drive which made its way to filmmaker-choreographer Remo D’souza’s gym trainer, Vithal.

After the news broke Akshay Kumar and producer Prernaa Arora took several measures to stop it and have now issued a statement assuring that everything has been taken care of.

Prernaa Arora from KriArj Entertainment reassured the industry, fans, and public in an official statement that reads, “There have been reports of my film TOILET: EK PREM KATHA having leaked online. I would like to assure my well-wishers and colleagues not to worry as everything’s under control. Someone tried to create mischief, but thanks to the Crime Branch, it’s all under control.”

Akshay Kumar took to twitter to clarify that “The fight against piracy is critical and it’s reassuring to see the swift action taken by the Crime Branch on the unfortunate incident involving our film TOILET: EK PREM KATHA.”

Several Bollywood stars like Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra and Neil Nitin Mukesh also shared their support on this topic.

Previously, films like Baahubali 2, Rajinikanth’s Kabali, Udta Punjab and Sultan were leaked online.

Toilet – Ek Prem Katha stars Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Divyendu Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, Shubha Khote and Anupam Kher. The film is slated to release on 11 August.
