Alia Bhatt crooned the song Sooha Saaha in her second outing, Highway, and also sang the unplugged version of Samjhawan from Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Not to forget the fact that she also sang in Udta Punjab and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Both the songs received unanimous appreciation and almost everyone praised Alia’s soothing voice. Now, we reported a few days ago that Alia had signed Ashwini Iyer Tiwari’s next film. Well, it has now been unveiled what will be her role!

The actor is all set to play a singer in her film, that’s right! A source quotes, “Though a fun film, it will capture her character’s journey and all that she goes through to achieve her dreams of making it big as a singer.” This isn’t the first time we have a protagonist who dreams of making it big in the singing world. We saw it in Rockstar and Meri Pyaari Bindu, let’s see how well this film fares at the ticket windows!

On the work-front, Alia is gearing up for films like Gully Boy, Kalank and Brahmastra in 2019.
