Ever since Aamir ‘Dangal’ Khan stepped foot into the Chinese waters with his latest offering and managed to rake in a humongous amount of 1200 crores as of recent updates, it’s time for Salman Khan to exploit the immense potential of the Chinese audience with his Eid release, Tubelight.
Tubelight, unlike Dangal, has an extra selling point apart from having one of the famous Khan trio in the lead (and an another one in a special role), it is also the Bollywood debut film of Chinese actress Zhu Zhu, who is quite a rage back home and has the backdrop of the Sino-Indian conflict.
Opposed to the conventional wisdom, the Khans are pretty much on cordial terms with each other. As Aamir was at the forefront of being able to successfully rake in truckloads of cash back home, Salman will be jotting down a few notes from Aamir as far as the marketing and promotions are concerned with regards to his upcoming film Tubelight, which will reportedly have 1200 screens dedicated to it.
We won’t know if the film will be as big a success as Dangal, but the first target that Salman needs to shoot down at the Chinese ticket counters is, well, himself! Confused? That means he will have to surpass the figures of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, which has been his highest grosser till date, and only then, he can think of joining the same league as Dangal.
Time will tell as to what will be Tubelight’s fate in China!
