Saif Ali Khan has a bucket list to fulfill in his next!

We now know what B-Town’s newest daddy, Saif Ali Khan has in store for us after Rangoon. The project is a quirky dark comedy, which is reportedly titled Kala Kandi. The man behind the story is Akshat Verma and the shooting for this film has already kicked off.

Reportedly, Kala Kandi features three stories (wait, is everybody planning to pull off a Bombay Talkies?) which occur at one night in Mumbai. The movie is shot across various locations in the city.

A source close to the development states “Saif’s character discovers that he has cancer and is dying. He lives in denial for a while. Then, with his brother’s wedding coming up, he decides to live life to the fullest, trying out everything he hadn’t so far, including smoking, drinking and tripping on acid.” (Oh, okay, it’s something like The Bucket List)

Story #2 is a narrative of an odd couple dealing with their issues, played by Kunaal Roy Kapoor and Neha Dhulipala. Story #3 features the story of two wannabe dons, who are seemingly loaded with a fresh set of antics. The three tales are reportedly interconnected, and their relation will be revealed at the end (Oh great! It’s also got a bit of Salaam-e-Ishq)

Saif Ali Khan, who is currently busy with the promotions of Rangoon, refused to spill the beans on his next, but did leave us with a statement “there is cancer and acid”. Maybe he just wants to keep the anxiety high until they might just let us down. Since the film seems to be a compilation of the two concepts that haven’t worked well for anyone so far in Bollywood. And yes, a bit of The Bucket List as well.

The movie will either be a masterpiece or a classic case of “Too many cooks spoil the broth” yet again. We shall let time decide the fate of Kala Kandi!
