PM Modi inspires Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s next film!
The Rang De Basanti director is back with yet another project! Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has recently revealed his next project titled Mere Pyare Pradhan Mantri. Yes, you read that right. The film is based on Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s initiative, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
“The film is about an eight-year-old boy, Kanhaiya, who desires to make a toilet [in his house] for his mother,” Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra said at the recently concluded Brahmaputra Literary Festival in Guwahati. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag director also added how he found inspiration for the film after he visited Gandhigram and now, all the profits from the film will go in the making of more toilets.
Even though his last film, Mirzya, featuring Harshvardhan Kapoor wasn’t a box-office breaker, let’s hope this one is!
