OMG! Salman Khan helped Mouni Roy to be cast in Gold!

It goes without saying that if you are good and dedicated enough as an actor, you are sure to be eventually recognized, helped and guided by Bollywood’s Bhaijaan Salman Khan! The man has helped kick start careers of many we know in the industry, such as Sooraj Pancholi, Daisy Shah, Zarine Khan and the singing career of rumored girlfriend Iulia Vantur.

It was rumored that television sensation Mouni Roy, after being spotted several times around Salman Khan’s vicinity, will be making her debut alongside him. But, we were in a shock ourselves when we first broke the story to you all that Roy will be making her debut with Akshay Kumar in his upcoming film Gold instead. As it turns out, the reason behind Roy’s casting in Gold is, you guessed it, Salman Khan himself!

A source close to the affair said “Salman made Daisy the lead actress in Jai Ho and has launched the singing career of Iulia Vantur. He has seen Mouni’s work and felt she deserved a big Bollywood break. It is he who spoke to someone from the unit of Gold and got her an audition. Of course, Mouni did well, subsequently bagging the part.”

Salman was overwhelmed with Mouni’s work as he got a chance to meet her on several occasions, which also included his Panvel farm house, where he was quite overwhelmed by the 31-year-old’s dedication and sincerity towards her work.

Salman Khan has a heart of gold and this stint of his once again goes to prove it!
