Not Rajinikanth & Aishwarya Rai, Robot was first offered to SRK & Priyanka Chopra!

Since the nation today is immersed in the madness of 2.0, let’s talk about its prequel, Robot, that came out in 2010. We all loved Rajinikanth & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film, didn’t we? But did you know they both were not the first choices for the respective roles? For all those who are unaware, the first choice for the leading man was none other than Shah Rukh Khan, and Priyanka Chopra was supposed to star opposite the actor.

In one of his interviews back in 2011, during the release of Ra.One, Khan revealed he was truly fascinated by the script, the role and also filmmaker Shankar’s vision, he still has a draft of the script at his house. However, the two couldn’t collaborate due to their different styles of film-making. SRK wanted to shoot the film from start to finish, Shankar wanted to make the film in different schedules and give it at least a time of two years.

Well, it seems only Rajinikanth was destined to play the role!
