A moment of silence for the Padukone family
We are deeply apologetic to bring this news to our readers that, Deepika Padukone’s maternal grandfather has passed away.
Deepika’s grandfather breathed his last on the 30th of January, about which the artist had kept her lips sealed until recently. She was busy with the shooting schedules of Padmavati when she learned of the recent sad news in her family.
Deepika and her grandparents shared an unbreakable bond. In the past, she had stated ” I celebrated my New Year with my grand parents. Today (January 1) is my grandfather’s 95th birthday. Every year I travel abroad to celebrate the New year, but this I wanted to celebrate it my family especially with him.”
Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, being the caring father-like figure that he is to the Ranveer-Deepika duo, has granted her Queen Padmavati sufficient leaves to be with her family.
