Mega cast and poster of Kalank OUT NOW!

You know how a news takes you by storm in the world of Bollywood this is that news. Karan Johar took to Twitter to announce the mega project Kalank which was previously titled Shiddat.

There was a lot of speculation regarding the star cast of the movie as it was reported that Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit would be seen together after 21 years on the silver screen.

To put all rumors to the rest Karan Johar also announced the entire cast of the movie which consists of Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt.

Karan Johar speaking to a leading newspaper was quoted saying “Kalank has been an emotional journey for me. A germ of an idea that I had nearly 15 years ago; a film that was in pre-production stage helmed by my father. I am now proud to pass it on to the capable and visionary hands of our director, Abhishek. The film is a beautifully structured story by Shibani Bathija, and has an exceptionally fluid narrative and screenplay by Abhishek.”

The movie is not only produced by Dharma Productions but it will see Karan Johar partnering up with Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. Sajid Nadiadwala also said that “April 18, 2014, was when 2 States had released, and now on April 18, 2018, Kalank begins its journey. This multi-starrer has a story that will cross all borders and will be historic in the true sense of the word. I am genuinely happy to be back with the team, as this film is special to all of us.”

The movie will be directed by Abhishek Varman and is slated to release on 19th April 2019.
