Katrina Kaif OPENS UP on joining Salman Khan’s Bharat!

Priyanka Chopra’s exit from the Salman Khan-starrer Ali Abbas Zafar directorial, Bharat shocked one and all. But then, came in the news of her rumored engagement and subsequent marriage to her 2-month beau Nick Jonas. So, although her walking out of Bharat made our jaws drop, the second piece of news that followed made our day, to say the least!

But then, shortly after, we just sprang up with joy when it was announced by none other than Salman Khan that his tigress, Katrina Kaif is officially a part of team Bharat!

But, how did all of it happen and so soon? Let Katrina herself answer that question for you all!

While speaking to a leading portal on the subject, she said that, “The roles which I have chosen for myself are purely based on script and what my character is in that film. So for me, it is extremely exciting to be working with the team again. When this time Ali contacted me, he told me ‘Goldfish’… He calls me Goldfish… He said, ‘I am sending you a script and just react to it and tell me what you feel about it’.

“When I read the script, I thought it was an absolutely wonderful script and I felt extremely excited about the character which I am playing in the film. Therefore, I am very happy to be part of the film.”

Does she feel like she has SAVED Bharat by stepping into the shoes of its female lead? Turns out, not at all! As she was quoted saying that, “It’s not like that. I don’t see it that way at all. Ali Abbas Zafar is very dear friend of mine. We have worked with each other earlier in ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ and ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and both films were extremely successful. More importantly, I had a great experience working on those two films.”

Well, we are sure that you will have a blast this time around as well, Kat!
