Get ready to see Rani Mukerji back in action with Mardaani 2!

Didn’t you all love and were in complete awe of Rani Mukerji’s fierce performance as Senior Inspector, Crime Branch, Shivani Shivaji Roy in the 2014 thriller, Mardaani? Now get ready to see the film’s sequel in 2019! The Yash Raj Films took to their Twitter account and shared this news on their timeline, have a look right here:-

Rani, who’s ecstatic to kick-start the shoot, said, “Mardaani is and will always be extremely close to my heart. Right since its release, everyone has asked me time and again when I would be doing Mardaani 2 and I’m sure this announcement will come as a pleasant surprise to them all. Gopi has written an extraordinary script that we all love and I can’t wait to start shooting this film soon.”

If the villain in the earlier film was as sharp, clever and intelligent as the protagonist, the actress’ nemesis in the second part might just be more dangerous. This is what she said when asked about the same, “Shivani will face a cold, merciless villain who has no empathy, no fear of God and is pure evil. The character has been written superbly and I’m excited to find out who the actor will be.” 

We can’t wait for the film now! Bring the sequel on.
