Diljit Dosanjh and Ileana D’Cruz to team up for their next!

Ever since the Punjabi singing sensation Diljit Dosanjh made his Bollywood debut with 2016’s Udta Punjab, he has not looked back. Despite being only 2 films old, he has already become the most sought after actor we have in the industry today, which honestly doesn’t come as a surprise, for his chemistry with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma in his debut film and Phillauri respectively has been really heart-warming.

We were amongst the first ones to report to you all that Dosanjh will be seen in a Shaad Ali film based on the life of ex-hockey player Sandeep Singh, but the female lead of the film was yet to be finalized. Seems like the makers have zeroed down on Ileana D’Cruz.

Yes, you read that right! Ilena D’Cruz has been reportedly finalized to play the female lead in the film which is yet to be titled. Now, that is one pairing to watch out for.

However, this wouldn’t have been the first time Ileana and Diljit would have been sharing screen space, since back in the day, Dosanjh was offered a part in Milan Luthria’s upcoming film, Baadshaho which he turned down and was then eventually done by Emraan Hashmi.

On that topic, he said “Milan sir is a nice director. The role that I was offered I felt I would not be able to justify. It was a nice role. But I couldn’t relate to the character. I felt I couldn’t just do it. I did speak to Milan sir after that,”

Well, we totally understand why.

Nevertheless, we are excited to see the two finally pair up for the big screen. Guess it was destiny’s call.

On the work front, Ileana will be seen in Mubarakan and then very soon in Baadshaho!
