CONFIRMED: Shah Rukh Khan to be a part of Salute!

A little over a month ago, a piece of news had begun making rounds that after Aamir Khan had walked out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic, titled Salute, the makers had been considering and even later signed on Shah Rukh Khan to play the part of the Indian astronaut. But, soon after that, Khan gave out a few statements at a public event which suggested that he has not signed any other film and his total focus was and is on Aanand L Rai’s Zero, a film which was untitled back then.

But now, Siddharth Roy Kapur, who is one of the co-producers of the film along with Ronnie Screwvala, has apparently finally zeroed down on SRK to play the part of the astronaut, to which Khan has agreed to.

As per reports, the film will be directed by Mahesh Mathai who directed the 1999 film Bhopal express and will go on floors sometime in September and then Khan will resume shooting the movie in January 2019. Such an erratic schedule could probably be in existence because perhaps King Khan will be busy in the post-production and promotions of Zero, and will then only resume once the Aanand L Rai directorial has released.

As far as the female lead is concerned, guess we shall hear about that soon.

Now, that’s quite a news for the fans of the Raees star, right?

In the meanwhile, Khan is currently busy shooting for Zero, which also stars his Jab Tak Hai Jaan co-stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif.
