Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Sonakshi Sinha & Parineeti Chopra to come together for Bhuj: The Pride Of India!

Ajay Devgn is undoubtedly one of the finest actors in the industry. The actor is currently busy with Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior and also has SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi in his kitty. And now according to the latest news, the actor is all set to essay an IAF wing commander in the war film Bhuj: The Pride of India. 

As per the latest reports of a leading daily, Ajay will be depicting the role of Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who was the in charge of the Bhuj airport (Gujarat) during the Indo-Pak war of 1971.

Talking about the subject of the film, producer Bhushan Kumar told a leading daily,” This courageous tale needs to be told because we want the current and the coming generation to know about this brave soldier, Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who played a significant role in India’s victory in the 1971 war. He was heroic enough to take this bold step of involving civilians in a war. Also, who better than Ajay Devgn for the role of Vijay Karnik? ”

Expressing the happiness on getting Ajay on board, he added, “I could only see Ajay Devgn essaying my character and I’m glad that he’s on board.”

Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ginny Khanuja, Vajir Singh the movie will be helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya. But wait, this is just half of the news. This drama also stars Sanjay Dutt, Rana Daggubati, Sonakshi Sinha & Parineeti Chopra in pivotal roles.

Dutt will play Ranchordas Svabhai Ravari, who guided the army to help win war by decoding footprints. Sinha will play Sunderben Jetha Madharparya, a social worker and a farmer activist who convinced the other 299 women to help build the runway. Daggubati plays a colonel and Chopra will be seen essaying the role of an Indian spy Heena Rehman. This is indeed a mammoth cast! We can’t wait for the film now!
