After 2 IPL victories, KKR makes Shah Rukh Khan proud again!

Shah Rukh Khan, who became the co-owner of the IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008, has all the reasons to be a proud man! After KKR’s two IPL victories, in 2012 and 2014, they have not only made SRK elated again but also done something really special for the entire squad. The team has announced the KKR ACADEMY, which will provide all the players with some fantastic training and coaching facilities. Venky Mysore, CEO and MD of KKR, said, “KKR Academy” has been part of our vision, with a view to helping our cricketers improve their skills and fitness as well as grooming talent and providing them a perfect platform to showcase their skills. This is another step in the professionalization of the Knight Riders franchise.”

Abhishek Nayar, who has been appointed as the lead coach and mentor, was elated over his appointment and said, “I am honoured to have been given the role of managing the KKR Academy. KKR has a highly talented set of boys and with this kind of nurturing in the off-season I am sure they will become better cricketers. I am also thankful to the KKR management for investing in the future of these promising cricketers.”

As far as the bowling aspect is concerned, Omkar Salvi has been appointed as the coach! With such a fascinating opportunity, the team should definitely dominate the next year’s IPL!
