Shraddha Kapoor replaces Vaani Kapoor in Batti Gul Meter Chalu!

So finally we have something good for you this week! The speculation over who will be leasing lady opposite Shahid Kapoor in Shree Narayan Singh’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu now comes to an end.

According to our Khabri Keeda, Shahid’s leading actress is not Vaani Kapoor but Shraddha Kapoor, yes you heard it right. Apparently, Shraddha’s acting from Saaho has impressed the director and are trying hard to get Shraddha on board replacing Vaani which we think is a correct decision. We don’t feel after Befikre; the audience will like to see Vaani again!

The actress has finally said YES to the film. The movie is all set to go on the floors in early 2018. About the character, Shraddha Kapoor is a philosopher and guide who helps and supports Shahid to fight against corruption.

The pair was last seen in Haider, and indeed we loved the movie. We hope the director does justice to the film as he did for Toilet Ek Prem Katha.
