Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan team up for a Netflix series!
We were amongst the first one who had reported that Saif Ali Khan will be having his own Netflix Original series, titled Sacred Games, which is going to be produced in partnership with Phantom Films.
In an official statement, Saif, who will be playing the role of Sartaj Singh, an eminent character in the series which is an adaptation of Vikram Chandra’s novel of the same name, said “Content in the digital space is taking over the existing dynamics at a rapid pace — the crown in the digital empire lies with Netflix, and it’s extremely satisfying to partner and participate in the first original series from India to be showcased on Netflix,”
We were already jumping on our seats when we got the air of the news, and things got all the more exciting when Netflix India made an official announcement on their Twitter account by tweeting:
The news was, in fact SO BIG that they actually announced it twice!
Just when we thought that things couldn’t get better, our Mr. Know-It-All Khabri Keeda dropped a yet another piece of exciting news with regards to Sacred Games.
As per KK, Netflix India has roped in none other than our own Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, Nawazuddin Siddiqui to play the antagonist in the series. We will give you a moment for that to sink in.
Isn’t that exciting? Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui sharing the screen space on your portable devices? Guess you have a very valid reason to get yourself that Netflix subscription now, if you haven’t already.
We just can’t wait for an official announcement from the team!
