As perhaps was written in destiny, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmaavat ended up having a phenomenal run at the ticket counters in India and abroad, with its domestic collections standing at an astounding figure of around 302 crores itself, with an additional 200 crores or so that came in from all over the world.
Amongst the many highlights of the film, like being a visual delight and an ode to the Rajput community, there was also a certain Ranveer Singh who stood tall as the conniving and menacing monster that is Alauddin Khilji.
