The previous week witnessed a great deal of drama, with an employee at Phantom Films accusing Award winning director Vikas Bahl of molesting her, which followed Bahl’s exit from the production company. However, rumours are now rife that another patron of Phantom Films has decided to part ways and go on his own.
Phantom Films was founded by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Vikramadititya Motwane and Madhu Mantena and since then the production house has delivered films like Hasee Toh Phasee, Queen, Masaan and NH-10, and even winning two National Film Awards.
However, the allegations against Vikas surfaced all over the media resulting in an ugly spat between Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl. There have always been creative differences among Vikas and Anurag and these reports just made things worse.
Madhu Mantena, the co-founder of Phantom Films has never been a part of the ruckus. But this time, due to the unending disagreement between Vikas and Anurag, Madhu has put his foot down.
It is rumoured that Mantena has decided to walk out on Phantom Films and go solo.
Will Anurag Kashyap and Vikramadititya Motwane continue with Phantom? Or is this how Phantom Films goes down in Bollywood?
