Actor Varun Dhawan is reportedly said to launch his first production house along with father, David Dhawan and elder brother and filmmaker Rohit Dhawan. Following the success of Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2, the actor is all set to collaborate with his father once again for the revival of the hit ‘No 1’ series which is likely to be the first film to roll out under their banner.
Confirming the news, a source close to the family revealed, “It’s a family banner that they plan to launch and is in the initial stages of planning. It will be headed by David and the first film will be a commercial action-comedy. Since their previous collaborations did well at the box office, the family felt it’s the right time for the venture. Varun’s films have been getting a good recovery on satellite and music rights, with the television premiere of Judwaa 2 setting new records. He’s one of the most saleable actors today and a big draw at the box-office so it’s a win-win situation for the Dhawans.”
On the work front, Varun is currently gearing up for the release of Sui Dhaaga: Made in India opposite Anushka Sharma and will be next seen in Abhishek Varman’s multi starrer period drama, Kalank along with Alia Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur.
