Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan’s Thugs Of Hindostan is not only the biggest film to come out of Yash Raj Films but possibly one of the biggest films of Hindi Cinema till date. We have already reported quite a few times how the canvas of this action-packed adventure will offer the audiences a never-seen-before cinematic experience, and now the film is all set to create another historic moment for itself and that too much before its release.
So we’ll spill the beans on what that historic moment exactly is! Unlike most of the Hindi films, including the ones churned out under the banner of YRF, Thugs Of Hindostan will be edited in its production house’s preview theatre and not in the editing room. A source said, “Aamir, Aditya Chopra and director Viktor (Vijay Krishna Acharya) want to give Indian audiences a great visual spectacle so that it is truly a jaw-dropping big-screen experience. They are editing it in the massive preview theatre at YRF so that they can gauge how the footage will look on the big screen. It is a novel, but a logical move on the part of the makers. They will lock the film’s edit on the big screen and not on the small monitors, which is how movies are usually seen during the process.”
Talking about the same, the director confirmed the news and said, “Yes, it is true. We have changed the mechanics of film editing and are working out of the preview theatre to ensure we cut a movie that’s truly larger-than-life and is an immersive viewing experience.”
Will this admirable ambition and brave experiment pay off at the ticket windows on November 7, when the film releases? Let’s see!
