Anil Kapoor, who was an integral part of the Race series, has finally opened up on his reason to say yes to the third film in the franchise. His character of a fruit-loving Inspector RD was lauded both by the masses as well as the critics. But a majority of the fans couldn’t digest how his character was completely changed in the third installment. He was given the role of the antagonist, Shamsher and was the only redeeming quality about the film.
Now, the actor recently spoke candidly on why he signed on the dotted lines and the reason is not Salman Khan. “I did it for the money, whenever I sign a film; I obviously think of the amount of money that it will fetch me. Acting is my profession; it earns me my daily bread and butter. If I do not give importance to earning enough money, how will I run my kitchen? My wife will never allow me into the house if I do not earn money, so it’s important to me.”
That’s quite a revelation! But this isn’t the first time Anil Kapoor has signed-on a film for the pay-cheque. He confessed once Andaaz and Mr. Azaad were other two films that he did purely for the sake of his remuneration.
