Ranveer Singh is starting his preparations to become the legendary cricketer, Kapil Dev, from January next year. Right from his speeches to his bowling action, which was both unique and unusual, this is one role Singh will have to struggle the maximum with, and Singh has described the character his toughest and most challenging yet. Kabir Khan, who directs the film, has already roped in Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the role of the coach of the Indian Cricket Team of the 80’s.
Now, Telugu star, Vijay Deverakonda, aka Arjun Reddy, was offered a part in this biopic, and was asked to essay the role of the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Krishnamachari Srikkanth. But he politely declined the part. Why? A source says, “Right now, he’s very busy with his commitments in Telugu. Vijay is, of course, looking forward to a Hindi film debut. But not in a film that already stars Ranveer Singh. No prizes for guessing who would have the most important role in the film.”
We are eagerly waiting to see who all are roped in to essay real-life cricketers! The film is slated to release on April 10, 2020, on the occasion of Good Friday!
